I didn't make mini cheesecakes today. LOL. I made the mistake and decided to make Puppy Chow (or muddy buddies if you are into that kind of thing) and I had a bunch left over....which we finished tonight while watching How the Grinch Stole Christmas. I did make cherry limeades though. Boy oh boy, I love it when I have Sonic flashbacks. I sure used to be a crazy one. Haha. Being in New York away from family and friends and having to build a life for myself sure has matured me. No complaints.
Anyways, back on topic. Cherry Limeades! I like to drink out of mason jars....I'm not sure if it's because they remind me of Whiskey Tango or what, but they make me smile :) Due to my instagram obsession I've been using my camera on my phone for a lot of my pics lately. Tonight I did a craft, I'll post about it in a minute...I used my big fancy camera and what a difference. I'll try to use big fancy again. **mental note** Make a thread about instagram...include favorite users, pluses and minuses to it. I got off topic, sorry..I do that a lot. Anyways, cherry limeades....I used 1 frozen limeade thing, put it in the pitcher, then i poured in some Sprite. Stirred it around, being careful because it becomes bubbly. Anyways, I slowly added the Sprite until it was full. Then I added the full thing of cherries and then sliced up some limes so we could be fancy. If you want exact measurements google someones recipe :) I'm honestly hit or miss if I do exact measurements. Its like life, sometimes I like to play it safe, and sometimes I like to live on the edge. YOLO.

Blossom is getting divorced
http://marquee.blogs.cnn.com/2012/11/22/mayim-bialik-husband-to-divorce-after-9-years/?hpt=hp_inthenews And here you have it folks, straight from CNN's blog. Mayim Bialik, aka Blossom is getting divorced after 9 years of marriage. She is one of those attachment parents. Nothing against attachment parents, I'm a firm believer in not judging ones way of parenting...unless it's really wrong of course. But she (or a rep) said the attachment parenting had nothing to do with the divorce. Bullshit. Guys don't want to sleep in the same bed as their baby/kid. They want to sleep next to their wife/partner. They want to sleep naked, get some in the middle of the night, they want to roll around and not worry about squishing a baby. If your husband/partner tells you they are ok with it, they really aren't. Maybe I'm also completely wrong.

You need to use a mason jar or another air tight container. I got a set of 4 pt sized jars at Target. This needs to sit for about 6 weeks until it's done. From what I've read, pure vanilla has no expiration date which is awesome to know! If you have tomato juice and pepper, I highly recommend making yourself a bloody mary because you really do deserve it :)Tomorrow I'm going to make a household favorite, mini cheesecakes along with cherry limeades.

My family Christmas card pics :)
This year is definitely my favorite Christmas card I have ever made! I wish I could see everyone's face when they open the envelope.

So we attempted dinner on the beach.....
Living in Long Island sure does have its perks....the city is just a train ride away, you can get in the car and drive any direction and find sand, amazing pizza and bagels. Last Friday night, we used our 4x4 pass and drove on Democrat Point (it's the far western end of Fire Island). I think this is my favorite thing about Long Island, the driving on the beach. It's way less crowded there, you can fish if you wish, swim, bbq, bonfire, etc.
Well, the kids ended up playing around in the water while Mike attended to the grill.....the charcoal that comes presoaked, was in fact NOT lightable. I was around seizing the opportunity to work on my photography of course. I've been reading/watching tutorials left and right, and I wanted to put the knowledge I have to work. Sure enough, I was pretty thrilled to see what I was able to do with some things.
We ended up only staying for about an hour. We were never able to get the grill going and we were hungry. So we went back home and BBQ'd in our driveway like the classy folk do hehe. I had an amazing time. I always find the beach (especially when it's not so packed) to be a very nice, calming place. I find serenity everytime we go over the Robert Moses bridges.
Until next time xo
